Leadership
The Chief and Council of Pauquachin First Nation are elected through the First Nation Election Act.
Currently, Chief Rebecca David is leading with four Councillors: Alva Bob, Camille Henry, Darlene Henry, and Shannon Evans. Chief and Council are responsible for representing the Pauquachin community in making governance and policy decisions.
Administrator
The Administrator of Pauquachin First Nation, is the sole employee of Chief and Council. The Administrator is responsible for the core functionality, management, and administration of the community and facilities, as well as the effective and efficient delivery of all programs and services by staff.
Administration carries out the policies mandated by Chief and Council in order to achieve and sustain its vision for the community.
Finances
Pauquachin First Nation manages its own financial affairs subject to the following constraints:
Must submit reports on all programs funded by senior governments;
Must submit an annual professional audit to INAC and Health Canada, conducted by an external audit company;
Must remain solvent; and
Must provide an Annual Report and host an Annual General Meeting of the membership to review the audit.
Pauquachin First Nation Leadership consists of one Chief and four Council that elected bi-annually.
